IMPORTANT GUIDELINES AND INFORMATION FOR CLIENTS WHO REALLY WANTS TO WIN CASE FROM SUPREME COURT.

The very first request from the author for the reader of this Article is to read the entire Article word by word and if possible then try to take out its printout and then read.

Try your level best to understand what the Author wants to convey. Also note that this Article is not for Advertisement purpose, but basically its for the help of persons/clients who are really looking for some good quality Lawyers when they loose their case from High Court or District Court. 

SITUATION NO.1:  What to do, when a client’s or a party’s case is dismissed from a High Court?

Solution :   Now, when any person or group of persons looses any case from High Court, then the only option is to approach Supreme Court in SLP or in Appeal. The time limit for filing any case in Supreme Court is only 90 days (3 months). Since 90 days time limit is really less to select a lawyer of Supreme Court and file the case, therefore it is often seen that clients/party becomes confused and helpless in a short span of time to decide their perfect lawyer as per their case.

Now, the client/party should note few very important points :

(1)-  Supreme Court is the last court to decide any case, there is no other court above it. So, clients are advised by the author not to do any sort of experiment by firstly engaging any general type common lawyer with less competency or less merit or cheaper lawyer and then when the case is again lost even in Supreme Court also, then a party becomes serious and sincere to engage a renowned or meritorious lawyer, but then it is of no use because only one and last chance is given in Supreme Court.

Therefore, the clients are advised and suggested to always engage a good quality lawyer who is already having lots of cases to argue before Supreme Court on daily basis, because such types of Lawyers are having good knowledge of law, knows the best ways to represent their cases before court, they have good face value before Court, are always updated with recent case laws and Judgments on a specific topic of law, have lots of experience in dealing with different types of cases and are considered as actual proper Lawyers of Supreme Court.

(2)- The well established Good and Famous Lawyers generally charge their fees on a comparatively higher side in comparison to general type common Lawyers. Most of them charge fees on per appearance basis. It means every time you make them appear in court, they will charge for per day wise. But, that is not a problem because when these Lawyers appear then most of the time they get success and a good and the desired order is pass from court in favour of their clients. Therefore suppose for example if a normal general lawyer of Supreme Court charges Rs.2 Lakh for a case, then there are chances that he may win or loose a case in court, but if you engage any of the Top or famous or very good Lawyer of Supreme Court then he may charge Rs.3 Lakh for the same case (which is Rs.1 Lakh more) but then the chances are much higher that the client may win the case from Supreme Court. (Although there is no guarantee of winning). So, it is adviced that a client should not try to save money in engaging a normal general type lawyer. It is advisable that you spend a little more and always try to engage Good and Famous Lawyers, because once the case is decided against you by Supreme Court then you are out for ever. Then at that time one may realize that he should not have engaged any normal general type lawyer which proved a curse for their case.

(3)-  If a party/client likes or trusts his High Court Lawyer and presumes that in case he looses the case from High Court then again they will request their own High Court lawyer to argue the case even in Supreme Court, then again this will be a very wrong decision. The clients are always advised to engage a proper Supreme Court Lawyer only for their Supreme Court case.

Do not take your High Court Lawyer to Supreme Court and request him to argue your case. A Big “NO” for this stupid decision.

A High Court Lawyer knows the working of High Court only and does not know about the practice and procedure of Supreme Court.

Only, a proper Supreme Court Lawyer (who is regular in Supreme Court) can do the Supreme Court case in a best possible way.

Also note that, it is a general trend that even Hon’ble Judges of Supreme Court generally favours only the regular Supreme Court Lawyers and not the High Court Lawyers who appears before them for Supreme Court case. But that does not mean that Judges are dishonest. All Hon’ble Judges are honest and respectable.

The Judges very well recognizes the face of regular Supreme Court Lawyers and gives least importance to High Court Lawyers who argues the case of his client in a pure High Court style and tries to waste the valuable time of Supreme Court, because High Court Lawyer is not aware of Supreme Court Rules, 2013 including practice and procedure.

It is just like you ask a Police Officer to command a Regiment or Battalion of Army. It is not possible. A Colonel/ Brigadier is made for Army and Superintendent of Police (IPS) is made for Police Stations in cities.

So, if a High Court Lawyer request you that he will argue your case in Supreme Court in very less fees or free of cost, even then also just say “NO” to them and also if suppose your High Court Lawyer suggest you any Advocate of Supreme Court, then also do not follow them blindly. Try to search name of that Lawyer on Internet and also search his achievements in handling different types of cases in Supreme Court.

A party/client should understand in a simple way that a driver of small car cannot drive a Truck, while the method of driving is same. Similarly, a High Court Lawyer is best suited for High Court only, but a regular and proper Lawyer of Supreme Court is best suited for Supreme Court, as he is well aware of practice and procedure of Supreme Court. But yes, a client may take his High Court Lawyer to introduce him to Supreme Court Lawyer during conference in the office of Supreme Court Lawyer for preparation of case.

(4)- Role of Advocate-On-Record (AOR)

In Supreme Court, there are specific types of Lawyers which are known as “Advocate-on-Record” (AOR). The Supreme Court takes a general type of Exam every year of practice and procedure of Supreme Court and those Lawyers who pass this exam becomes Advocate-on-Record (AOR). Only these types of Advocates are permitted to file Vakalatnama in Supreme Court.

But that does not mean that only these AORs are permitted to argue and draft any case. They are only entitled to file their Vakalatnama in any case which is filed in Supreme Court.

Now, exactly what happens in Supreme Court kindly understand.

The client/party engages any normal Lawyer of Supreme Court (who is not an AOR) and gives his case to him. Then this Supreme Court Lawyer will draft the case by his own and will ask any AOR to file Vakalatnama in that case and then the clerk of AOR will file the case, but the case will be argued by that normal non AOR Lawyer only, to whom it actually belongs.

Thus, to sign any Petition AORs are available in Supreme Court and generally they charge Rs.5000/- to Rs.15,000/- to sign any case and file it (their fees may vary from AOR to AOR).

So, as per the record of Supreme Court that AOR is the Lawyer, but behind the curtain some other non AOR Lawyer is actually the main counsel of that case.

Actually, every normal Lawyer of Supreme Court keeps an AOR with them for signing a Petition.

It is a myth that only AOR are the Supreme Court Lawyers, no its not, even other Lawyers who are not an AOR are equally important than AOR.

Some clients think that they should only approach an Advocate-On-Record for filing any case in Supreme Court, but this is wrong. They may also engage any normal non AOR lawyer for a Supreme Court case.

One should clearly know that there are many good equality lawyers available in Supreme Court who are not an Advocate-On-Record, but they are having a record of filing more than 90 cases per month in Supreme Court. These Lawyers keep an AOR in their office for filing cases and gives a monthly salary to them.

So, clients should clearly understand that need not to give so much importance to AORs, because their role is very limited upto filing of case only.

Late Mr. Ram Jethmalani, Mr. K.K. Venugopal, Mr. F.S. Nariman, Mr. Soli J. Sorabjee etc. types of good Lawyers of Supreme Court were never Advocate-on-Record, but look what type of name and fame they have earned in Legal Practice.

(5)- Fees of Supreme Court Lawyers:

The very first point which every client should note that Supreme Court is a costly court.

The Lawyers in Supreme Court generally charges more fees than the High Court and District Court Lawyers. The reason is very simple, that Supreme Court is the highest court of appeal and nobody wants to lose any case from the Supreme Court at any cost. Everyone wants to win the case in Supreme Court therefore every client wants to engage the top most best and famous Lawyers of Supreme Court so that their chance to succeed in case becomes much higher. Now, the best, famous and top ranking Lawyers are very learned, hardworking, are well experienced to handle the cases in Supreme Court and very well knows how to get success in Supreme Court cases. Even the normal Lawyer who are well established in Delhi and are practicing in Supreme Court always charges a good amount of fees. The Lawyers practicing in New Delhi whether in Delhi High Court or especially in Supreme Court are very good quality Lawyer (you can say the premium class of Lawyer).

Now when you are going to purchase any product of a very good quality then definitely you have to pay more.  Understand with a very simple example that if a person goes to a market to purchase a local brand shoe of a poor quality then it is only useful for 8 to 9 months but if you purchase any shoes of high quality footwear of “Woodland”, “Hush Puppies”, “Bata” etc. then definitely these shoe company will cost you more but their quality, there level of comfort and their durability is much above than a local made shoe.

Similarly you can understand in a very simple way that Lawyers practicing in Supreme Court are considered as good quality lawyers of India, they have a class of themselves, they are more learned, most of them are well established, most of them have good offices of their own at posh area of New Delhi and have several juniors of good quality and have Interns who work under them and these Supreme Court Lawyers pay a handsome salary to their juniors and they have to maintain their office staffs, clerk, driver therefore most of the Lawyers of the Supreme Court charge good amount of fees from the client of the cases  which are to be Field whether in Supreme Court or in Delhi High Court, any Tribunal and even in District Court of Delhi.

The second reason is that the city of New Delhi is the costly city of India since it is the capital, so you will not get anything cheaper in Delhi. Even the Doctors and the Medical Practitioner practicing in New Delhi charges more fees than the Doctor practicing in other parts of India.

The medical treatment and the litigation in Delhi is costly.

The fees of a Supreme Court Lawyer or a Delhi High Court Lawyer is not fixed but it is a trend that they charge minimum 3 to 4 Lakh per case in Delhi High Court and between 4 to 6 Lakh in Supreme Court for a case. In this range really you will get a good and a medium class of Lawyers in Supreme Court but if you meet any Lawyer in the Supreme Court premises or in nearby place in Supreme Court or Delhi High Court and if suppose he/she says that he will do your entire case in Supreme Court in just Rs.75,000/- or Rs.50,000/- or below Rs. 1 lakh then kindly be  alert because either he is not an Advocate of Supreme Court or he may be a fake Lawyer, a tout, an imposter, a very fresh lawyer who is in need of money, a non serious very-very low quality Lawyer etc. Please do not try to give any of your case of Supreme Court or High Court to such type of low level Lawyer because most of these type of Lawyers prove very dangerous in spoiling even a good case of client in High Court or Supreme Court.

So a client/party should very well understand that for filing a case in Supreme Court you should have a minimum budget of 6 to 7 lakhs or upto even 10 lakhs or sometimes more, because the real, genuine, bonafide and the true lawyer of Supreme Court always charges good amount of fees. Clients from all over India are easily paying them their fees and the good and reputed Lawyer of Supreme Court mostly gives good result to their client.

Now, try to look at the larger picture, if a client/party in Supreme Court spends 7 to 8 lakhs as a fees upon the Lawyer they finally get rid off their legal problem forever and again in just few months that party can earn that amount of money which was invested upon that Lawyer. Therefore it is highly recommended that a party/client must and must engage a good Lawyer of Supreme Court and not to approach a low quality Lawyer who has less legal knowledge, very less number of cases in court or who occasionally comes to the Court.

Some of the Lawyers charges fees per appearance wise, it mean every time when he appears in court every time you have to pay them. While, some of the Lawyers charge the fees of any case which is fixed for full case, no per appearance wise. It depend upon the choice Lawyer to Lawyer.

People are easily paying the good amount of fees whatever the money is quoted by the branded Lawyers without any bargain and discussion from them because the top Lawyers are really in high demand and client are dying to engage them as their Lawyer at any cost.

Kindly Note that there are many clients in India who use to engage the Supreme Court Lawyers for their cases before High Court, subject to payment of their fees. For example There are many good Criminal Lawyers at Madras High Court but if a client who has a criminal case pending in the Madras High Court think that he needs much more effective criminal Lawyer for his High Court case, then sometimes they use to call or engage a good quality Lawyer of Supreme Court, pay his desired fees and travelling expenses and call them from New Delhi to Madras High Court for arguments. Now when such a big Lawyer of Supreme Court argues a criminal case before Madras High Court then the chances are much Higher that he wins the Criminal case from High Court. So, it is better and highly recommended that you sacrifice money (for a temporary period) upon a good quality Lawyer and finally win a case from court.

At the same time the author clearly tells to the public at large that the Author does not mean that only top class or branded Supreme Court Lawyer only get success in case, the law is equal for all. The case is decided based on its merit and the Hon’ble Judges are honest to do justice for all, it depend upon case to case but the author actually mean that good quality, top and best and famous lawyers are more professional, much-much stronger in Legal knowledge than normal Lawyer. Just like a Maruti Suzuki Wagon-R and Toyota Fortuner both are cars but you can very well understand, appreciate and easily compare about their quality and features, their power etc., thus they have a different class and therefore their rates/prices are different.

Situation No.2:   How to select a Good Lawyer of Supreme Court?

Solution: There are many Lawyers who are in active practice in Supreme Court, some of the Lawyers practice both in Supreme Court as well as in Delhi High Court. If a client wants to engage a Lawyer of Supreme Court then he may search any of the Lawyer of his own choice which is available in the Lawyers directory of Supreme Court Bar Association which is available on Internet also. From this Lawyers Directory online you will get names and address and contact details of advocate practicing before Supreme Court. But it is not necessary that the Lawyers whose names are available in Lawyers Directory mentioned above are still on active practice, because some of them have passed away, some of them gave up their practice in Supreme Court and many other Lawyers are only enrolled in the Supreme Court Bar Association just for their Status Symbol only otherwise practically they are not in daily active practice in Supreme Court, so you can say that they are only a dummy Lawyers. In case you approach these type of Lawyers they will immediately recommend any other Lawyer’s name or they will outsource the work to any other Lawyer.

The other way to search Lawyers of Supreme Court is to take recommendation from any good High Court Lawyer. You may ask from any good Lawyer of High Court, that who are the good Lawyers at present who are in active practice in Supreme Court. They may also guide you. But at the same time there is also a risk from asking them because generally it has been seen that a High Court Lawyer always recommends a case to a particular Supreme Court Lawyer who is his friend, or his relative or to oblige any Advocate of Supreme Court who may not be fit to draft, understand, argue a case before Supreme Court. The innocent client must be thinking that my High Court Lawyer must have send me to a very good Lawyer of Supreme Court, but the reality may be different.

The other way to select a Lawyer of a Supreme Court is to note down their names from Newspaper, article in Magazines and several article upon big Lawyers and good Lawyers available on Internet.

The other method to search a good Lawyer is to ask from those clients who have won their case from Supreme Court. In case you are able to meet such type of client they will tell you about the name of their own Lawyer if they are really satisfied by their own Lawyer.

Everyone should know a very important fact that there are many Lawyers available in Supreme Court but all of them are expert in their own field of law.

It means some of the Lawyers are expert in doing cases of civil nature and also the constitutional cases only, while the other Lawyers have deep knowledge about criminal law and they are expert in doing criminal cases only. The third type of Lawyers are expert in Handling taxation cases like Income tax, GST Matter, Custom cases etc., the other category of Lawyers are expert in doing family cases and matrimonial dispute cases. And the last category of Lawyers are those who are equally good in criminal as well as civil cases.

So if suppose a client wants to file a case of civil nature in Supreme Court and unfortunately he handed over his case to a hardcore criminal Lawyer of Supreme Court then it may create a problem to win the case because that criminal Lawyer may not be able to tackle that civil side case and finally he may not able to represent the case of his client before Supreme Court in a proper way resulting in losing that case forever. It is just like you ask Sachin Tendulkar to play Hockey in the World Cup Hockey Championship. So Sachin Tendulkar is a good player no doubt but he is not fit for Hockey.

Thus it is a big gamble for a client to select a good Lawyer of Supreme Court for his case.

In case you are selecting a Lawyer of a Supreme Court kindly keep in mind that there should be following qualities in the Lawyer whom you select to argue your case before the Supreme Court.

1. He should have good & deep legal knowledge, the concept of law and how to use the law in court should be clear in his mind.

2. He should have minimum 10 years of active practice in Supreme Court.

3. By his dint and his hard work he should have a good face value among all the courts.

4. He should be aware of the recent case law on the point which he is going to argue in the court.

5. His English should be very good.

6. He should give sufficient time to his client to discuss and understand the case of his client.

7. He should come to the Supreme Court on daily basis and not occasionally.

8. He should have his office in Delhi or NCR.

9. He should have his juniors and interns with him.

10. He should not charge very less fees from his client, rather a good lawyer charges handsome fees because a good Lawyer never take a case in a very less fees.

If that Lawyer ask you a good amount of fees then you may presume that he is that Lawyer that you are actually looking around, because purchasing a valuable item is always a costly venture. So this is also one of the test to know that whether you have selected a good lawyer or low level Lawyer or almost a fake Lawyer.

So these were some of the qualities of a good face value Lawyers.

Now understand a new fact and kindly be aware of the trend of selecting a Lawyer which the author is trying to tell here, that when a client all of sudden comes to the Supreme Court from different part of India and meet a Lawyer who looks Senior in age with white hairs and in Lawyer’s Uniform, sitting in Canteen of Supreme Court or walking around Supreme Court Campus, so after watching such Lawyer an innocent client may presume and think that he will be Senior and experienced Lawyer of Supreme Court, but in fact he may be wrong because in the profession of law it has become a trend that some of the persons who were in service like Bank Manager, Military Retried Officer, Retired Bureaucrats etc. when they cross the age of 62 years or 65 years they enter the profession of law and just for their time pass they use to come in Supreme Court to watch the court proceedings etc. they basically aimlessly come to court and enjoy their day at Bar room and after 4 pm they go back to their home.

Now Note that if a client by luck/by chance meet such type of Lawyer and starts discussing his case presuming that he must be a very-very experienced Lawyer of Supreme Court then such type of Lawyer generally never tells to his client that they are very new into this profession and does not know how to handle the case in Supreme Court. The innocent client gives his case to those Lawyers and after  few dates inside the court room, one day that client badly realize that he has not done any good quality research work in selecting a good Lawyer in Supreme Court, rather he has selected a wrong Advocate on the basis of his physical appearance as an old man.

So a client should always do a good quality research work before handing over his case to a competent Lawyer of Supreme Court.

Now it is the personal opinion of Author that if in a very short period of time a party/client is not able to select or decide or choose a Lawyer of Supreme Court then he may select any of the Advocate which are mentioned in this article at the beginning. A client must and must go through the details of every Lawyer which is mentioned in this Article at the beginning because all these Advocates have very good face value in Supreme Court and Delhi High Court.

They are considered as one of the top branded Lawyers of Delhi and in case the client wants to cross check their name, then 100% the client will be told by every other Lawyers in Delhi High Court and Supreme Court that “YES” these are the very good Lawyers and at present time are one of the top Lawyers of Supreme Court.

Further a client should not make a mistake to presume that their fees may be extra ordinary high, the client must contact their clerk or themselves to ask their fees because different Lawyers have different types of fees for different type of cases.

Do not hesitate to contact them. Rather if you type their name in Google, just see what Google is telling about these Lawyers. You should type their name in Google and try to do a good research work. Suppose you type “HARISH N. SALVE”, then just do a research of his name in first 2 to 3 pages of Google. Then you will come to know that really he is a good Lawyer.

It is said that law is equal for all in India, but the reality everyone knows which the author would not like to discuss in the article. Also kindly note it clearly that the Author does not mean that if you engage any top best branded Lawyer of Supreme Court only then you will win the case. It is not like that, but the author actually mean that if you engage any good Lawyer who is famous/well experienced top and best at present time at the gallery of Supreme Court, then there are much chances at higher side that you may win a case in Supreme Court but at the end it is the destiny of the client. Hon’ble Judges of Supreme Court and High Court are honest and most of them treat every Lawyer equally although it is also seen that most of the time discretion part of the judge goes in the favour of good and well known Lawyers who are active practitioner Lawyers.

Every Lawyer has its peak time in the Supreme Court, like Mr. K.K. Venugopal was once considered as a highest paid lawyer of his time similarly the list of Lawyer mention in this article are enjoying good position due to their hard work, deep knowledge of law, good representational qualities and court craft etc. These 10 Lawyers at present are considered as really very-very good Lawyers of Supreme Court and if a client is really interested in handing over their case to these Lawyers then they do not need any type of extra ordinary research upon them because the best is always best. Else the client is also free to engage any other Lawyer of his choice. The Author has no relation with any of the Advocates mentioned in the article and has no personal interest to send any of the client to these Lawyers because these Lawyers are already in No.1 position and they do not believe in any sort of advertisement which is even bared by the Bar Council of India rules. This article is only being written just to help the clients and the parties who wants to file a case in Supreme Court and are looking for some good quality Lawyer. It is also very helpful for upcoming law student, Law College of India, young Junior Advocate.

NOW A VERY IMPORTANT QUESTION IS THAT, WHY YOU NEED A GOOD LAWYER OF SUPREME COURT ?

The answer for the above question is that filing and contesting a case in Supreme Court (the last highest Court) is just like a full fledged legal war or legal battle between a client and his opposite party (i.e.: Petitioner-Respondent)

Now, when you go to a war/battle, then whether you need a weak soldier or strong and well trained soldier (who knows every good skill to fight in war) ?

Similarly, is the case in Supreme Court. When a party looses his case from High Court or when his case is dismissed in High Court then the last and only chance is to file the case in Supreme Court challenging the order of High Court so, if again the case is finally dismissed in Supreme Court also, then the party finally looses his case for ever. Therefore, it is necessary and suggested to public at large or a client or a party to engage any good, famous, top most, well experienced lawyer with good face value in all courts. Also, it is suggested that try to pay good fees to good and deserving Lawyers.

Paying good amount of fees to Good quality Lawyers is just like an investment, because engaging a good Lawyers to draft and argue a case in Supreme Court may be least risky. Chances of winning a case are at higher side.

Therefore if suppose a Lawyer is charging Rs.5 or 7 Lakhs for a case, then it would be better that you pay him, rather paying him Rs.50,000/- or Rs.75,000/- etc. to a non serious lawyer, because this is not the fees of Supreme Court. Definitely he must be a fraud or fake Lawyer pretending to be a Supreme Court Lawyer. Kindly note that Supreme Court is a costly court just like a 5 star hotel.

So, if you are planning to file a case in Supreme Court, then first arrange minimum Rs.5 lakhs and then try to select a good lawyer as per your need and budget.

Even when the selection of officers and soldiers are done in Army, the Army always selects and recruits the toughest and strongest soldiers. They give them proper training, make them 100% fit to fight and win the battle and only then sends them to war.

Similarly, Supreme Court is a war zone where last and final legal battle will be fought, so you need a very good quality legal soldiers who are the Top best, famous, well experienced lawyers of Supreme Court.

Kindly notice that the dress and Uniform of all Lawyers are similar, so do not understand that even their caliber is also equal. There is an extreme vast difference between caliber, merit and performance of Top Good famous Lawyers (like listed in this article) and other general type of common lawyers. Therefore it is highly recommended that a client or a general public must always try to engage good, Top, Famous and hard working Lawyer.

A very important thing is to be mentioned here is that a general public or a client should not presume and guess the fees of Top Lawyers themselves. Rather you must and must ask Fees of these Top Lawyers by contacting on their contact numbers, because some of the Top Lawyers are also charging the fees which a normal person can also afford.

SITUATION NO.3: What action can you take against a Lawyer who cheats his client?

Solution: If the Lawyer cheats his client in any manner then the litigant has a right to file a complaint against him before Bar Council of India (BCI) which is situated at Deen Dayal Upadhyay Marg, New Delhi near I.T.O. crossing or you can also file complaint against that Lawyer before State Bar Council like: Bar Council of Delhi (BCD). 

SITUATION NO.4: What steps an outsider client (not living in Delhi) must take before coming to New Delhi to engage a Supreme Court Lawyer ?

Solution: A client who is living in some other city must first search a Lawyer of Supreme Court on internet, then he should contact him or his clerk for availability of that Lawyer. Then must book train or flight tickets for Delhi. After reaching Delhi, clients are advised to stay in Hotels situated at Bhogal Market in Jungpura, because most of the offices of Top and Famous Lawyers of Supreme Court are in Jungpura, Lajpat Nagar, Sundar Nagar, Defence Colony, Golf Links etc. Bhogal Market in Jungpura is in the heart of these above mentioned areas with very good transport connectivity.

So, it is advisable that clients may book above hotels online before coming to New Delhi.

Also, note that clients coming to Delhi from their respective cities must bring entire file (with full papers) of Trial Court as well as of High Court. Also, try to bring certified copy of order of High Court which you wish to challenge in Supreme Court. Please note that if a client wants to personally watch the court proceedings in his case then he must have his Aadhar Card or Voter Id. Or Passport with him and only one client is allowed to enter in court room to watch case proceedings while others may wait at “Litigants Cafeteria” Opp. Pass Counter in Supreme Court.

The client should reach Supreme Court early morning by 9 am on the day when his case is listed and must fill visitor pass at Pass counter. In visitor’s pass it is necessary that stamp and signature of AOR must be there. Also, on the spot photo will be clicked at Pass counter and then the client will get access to court rooms.

One important point is again to be mentioned for clients coming to New Delhi from outside to engage a Delhi Lawyer is that the client must bring his cheque book of that bank account in which he has money and also should bring at least minimum 1 or 2 lakh cash, because some lawyers demand their fees by cheque or RTGS/NEFT while some Lawyers take their fees both in some cash and cheque. So, to be on the safer side outsider client must be ready both with cash and also by cheque/online mode.

Also, remember that some of the Touts may meet clients at ‘D’ or ‘C’ Gate of Supreme Court and may entice them to introduce them to Big Advocates etc., so do not get into their trap.

The real Supreme Court Lawyers will never behave in a cheap manner as they are well learned and well behaved and professionally very sound.
